I have some funny boys...
Braxten for one has come up with some wonderful excuses to not do stuff. When Braxten and Gannon used to share a room at night Braxten would come out and tell us that Gannon was playing with his sock. Than 2 minutes later he would come out and tell us that Gannon was playing with his other sock. THAN it was Gannon took off his sock, 2 minutes later Gannon took off his other sock. We would tell him to go get back in bed and we would come see if we could find Gannon's socks or wait till morning. Than one day we realized that the boys had half the socks they did a couple months ago, so we look at this side of the bed and this is what we find:
I would say that this is a valid excuse to get out of bed. Other excuses that are not so valid include the following:
-Mom I can't eat my cinnamon roll because it tastes like your hands
-I can't eat dinner because my hand hurts
-I can't eat dinner because it tastes soda-y
-(coming out of his room when he is supposed to be sleeping, says in a surprised voice) Omigosh, I forgot to give you last hugs and kisses.
-Than a couple nights ago he come walking out of his room when he is supposed to be in bed... he looks at the floor picks up a toy and says "Do I need this in my room?"
We couldn't help but to laugh at that one especially because he had this look on his face:
Tonight Braxten pinched his finger and it has been causing him some grief. Well he comes up to me while I was getting their bath ready and says "Mommy, my finger is still sore can we call the ambulance" I than explained what an ambulance was used for and that we can't just call them whenever we are a little sore and I got this look:
(I know this picture is old but it captures the look on his face perfectly!)
Funny, funny Braxten!!!

Things to Think About When Your Children Have Shaved Heads
So since I decided that I would shave my children's heads I have realized that there are things that you have to think about that you didn't have to think about before your child had a shaved head. Here is the list:
Rug burns on head
Sun burns on head
OK I know I made it seem like that list was going to be soooo long... And all I have learned is 2 whole things!! WOW!! Anyway... with the shaved heads came a rug burn on Gannon's head which he insists is from Braxten pulling him down Papa's hall (Kyle thinks it may be a tramp burn though??). Braxten got a sunburn really bad on his head so that is something we need to watch, and now it is peeling all over the place and it looks like he has cradle cap! NICE! Anyway! Those are ALL the things I learned about children with shaved heads... I know so interesting!!!

Shaved Heads and Dirt Cups
So I apparently have an unhealthy desire to shave my children's heads... with this said and the fact that it is summer I finally got my wish. Off came the hair!
Braxten Before (Only Braxten has a before, we just touched up Gannon's and Kyle and Jackson already had no hair!!)Braxten is not crying because he is getting his hair cut... He hurt himself right before I took this picture!
And after!!All my bald men!!
And with the head shaving came the dirt cups! The boys did it all themselves, they poured, stirred, and DRANK the pudding and ended up with 8 wonderful dirt cups!!
Side note... Kyle broke our computer chair so now I get to type at a left slant!

I'm Addicted to Blogging
That is right! I can't get enough of the blogging, I am just so excited to look back in 15 years and see all that we did back in the day! Soooo on with another post! This last weekend for whatever reason was just plain hectic, the boys were extra rowdy, we weren't home a lot and at the end of everyday we were just wore out. I had been getting a little annoyed too easily because of the constant commotion and I hate it when I do that. Well yesterday I am glad to say that I stopped I realized what I could be missing if I didn't stop getting so annoyed. We were on our way to take the boys to the park with their Nana and Papa and Jackson was crying (he is our only child who has hated his car seat and he cries most times in his car seat... I am not looking forward to taking him up camping, poor kid 2 hours in the car and he will be horse) anyway so Jackson was crying, Braxten was telling him to SHHHHH at the top of his lungs and Gannon was doing his head rock thing and saw ahahahahahah as loud as he could. I was getting to a point where I wanted to jump out of the car and I just looked at Kyle and started laughing, I just said... One of these days we are going to miss this. I just have to remember that every time I get a little annoyed that some day I am going to look back and think I want that pure chaos, so I will cherish it while I can!
So to re-coupe from the weekend me and Kyle took today off! Gotta go!

Before there was a Blog
So I wasn't going to blog... I didn't have time and I didn't have any one to read it so I was just going to enjoy reading everyone else's posts. UNTIL... my very persuasive sis-in-law decided that I MUST blog... OK not really but that version sounds better, really though she described it more as a journal or quick scrap book and my eyes were opened to the wondrous thing known as a blog. This will be my scrap book since I rarely have time to scrap book (who am I kidding, I think I have done 6 pages in the last 5 years) so I will use this to keep an updated journal of our going ons so I have them for later! So without further ado here is what we have been up to "Before there was a Blog" (Imagine the big movie man talking)!!
So I will start in 2005 because although there were such things as digital cameras we were not blessed with one until that time.

On to 2006 and remembering what our boys looked like that year!

We added to our family with our little guy Rico in 2006. The boys love him!On to 2007, Well the end of it at least because I can't find what I did with the rest of the years pics. (Side note... I just had a soda explode all over me and the keyboard!!)
Ok So these next pics are of Gannon the night before Thanksgiving. He was jumping on Braxten's bed with a comforter over his head and the lights off, we had asked him about 3 times to stop and he kept doing it. Than he found out why he should have listened to us!
The night of
The next day... He jumped and fell and hit his eye on the corner of Braxten's bed. He didn't have much luck this year because he had to spend the night of his birthday in the hospital with a dislocated elbow because him and Kyle were playing and well I bet you can guess what happen next!!
Well I know it may only be April but we have had a somewhat eventful year.
We started this year with our newest addition Jackson Ray on January 8... Only 3 weeks early (you think I would know to be ready at least a month early with my children but obviously I am not that quick!)
So here he is... And watch him GROW!!
At the hospitalAbout 1 month
About 2 months
About 3 months
Right after we had Jacks... Like seriously a week after we were so smart and got another dog!! He really is wonderful even if I am annoyed with him daily. He truly is a good dog...
PedroAnd we were able to go to Playhouse Disney this year
Gannon has been quit busy this year cutting his hair...
And than a week later cutting it again
And here is he sporting his new do
And Braxten in 2008
So that is it in a nut shell! Other than that this year I just started school and I am going to get my MBA, so this wonderful new blog will help keep track of all the things that I don't have to time scrap book! Thanks TISHTIE for beating it into my head :)
