Family Vacation… the beginning

Ok, so here it is… Finally… Our first family vacation ever! (Other than camping silly) It started off with going to work, I know, horrible way to start a vacation. Both me and Kyle were able to get off early though… Well that morning the morning of July 30th I got into our car that we JUST got back from the shop (after over a month) and the check engine light came on AGAIN, this is after Kyle had heard it sputtering while he was changing the oil the night before, so I pondered taking the car anyway for .2 seconds and than called my parents who where in North Carolina to see if we could borrow their car since they didn’t need it.. them being them said, of course, so we left work a little earlier, took our car to the shop, Kyle picked me up than took me to my parents than we were off to our house to get the car packed… Packed up the car, Kyle came and got all of us and WHAT? The doors are locked? The car is running and we are on the outside? This isn’t right… Mad dash to the house, find the phone book and calling the lock smith… “Hi, this is lock and key” me, “um Hi, we just locked our keys in the car and” Click.. guess we should have checked all the doors before we called the lock smith huh… Sorry guy that I hung up on for no apparent reason, I blame my lack of phone etiquette on Kirk Ray… Why? Because I haven’t blamed anything on him for awhile..

Anyway, than we were on our way, after a short little trip to Fred Meyer for gas and cameras (that’s right, cameras, because our camera was at my parents house in our other car… Oh wait, what? You mean it was at our house in our closet the whole time? Would have been nice to know that before the trip!!) anyway, at Fred Meyer Kyle dropped me off without my purse and started to drive off so I got to run through the parking lot yelling after him, that was fun. Hun, we should do that again sometime.
After this we hit Wendy’s than the road! The boys were excited, we did goody bags for every hour of the trip and they loved it! And thanks to Susan for saving us by letting us use her dual moitor DVD player for the car! Jackson did wonderful the whole trip which was great! And so did the boys, they really all did wonderful!

We stopped to take a look at the Twin Falls temple, which wasn’t dedicated yet so we could go in it.. .It was a cool experience, even though, well my kids decided that I didn’t actually need to see the temple.. .I guess that’s cool?
So we are off again, stop in Burley to get gas and what’s this? (do you like how I must ask questions instead of just writing out what happen? It’s a new thing I am trying apparently) The car wont start? That’s cool, ask around and someone has cables and we are off, make it to the hotel fine, which actually ended up being a bummer because it didn’t look like the website and it smelled like smoke, good thing we didn’t spend too much time there! We went to dinner, which was laughable, seeming how I got to eat dinner in the hotel room because I am pretty sure the restaurnant forgot to enter my order, anyway, than we had the men take the kids swimming and the swimming area was a sauna… Horrible! Anyway, after getting complaints about our kids jumping around (I don’t blame them, I love hotels, they are so much fun especially for kids)

I guess I only got a picture of Braxten in the hotel and I have no clue what is with the face??

Anyway, than we finally got laid down and tried to sleep even though we were oh so excited for Lagoon the next day!!
At this point I would like to say I am sooooo sorry to Aaron and Mistie who had to drive the whole way there without A/C… so so sorry! More to come
